Kirsten Jensen, Youth Ministry Assistant
I first came to Discover back in 2011 when I was just starting out my sophomore year in high school. It had been a game-changing 12 years thus far and I am forever grateful to God for bringing me here.
I enjoy spending my time outside of work reading, working on puzzles (jigsaw, logic, and Sudoku), playing games (video and board), and going on day trips with my dog. I have my own dog, a long-haired Dachshund named Cricket! She is my buddy. In my house we also have 3 family dogs, a Shih-Poo named Hazel, a King Charles Cavalier named Earl Grey, and the newest member is a German Shepherd puppy named Kronk. One tidbit about my family is that we've always had German Shepherds! I am becoming well-versed in travel season in sports. My boyfriend has a pre-teen daughter and I enjoy watching her numerous sporting events, particularly basketball.
My favorite scripture would have to be the entire chapter of Psalm 91. It's always a good reminder for me as I go about my day.
I am the director of youth ministry. My job is to oversee the lessons for the 6-12th graders on Sundays and to be a leader on Wednesdays and Fridays (and every other day in between). To describe my job in three words, it would be: Crazy Teen Time. One thing to note about my youth room: I enjoy spoiling them. I like to get snacks and drinks that they like so that we can fellowship comfortably with happy hearts and happy stomachs!
If anyone has any concerns, questions or comments regarding their children/ grandchildren, feel free to come to me at any time! I am happy to talk with you.
